About a week back, I grabbed lunch with a friend at a salad place in Raffles Place – Shake Farm. Their lemon brown rice base was slightly underwhelming as I was expecting a tangier taste to it. Upon researching, I found an easy-to-make recipe on prettyprovidence and decided to make my own adaptation of it.
Ingredients needed for the lemon brown rice (serving for 3)
3 cups of brown rice
3 tbsp of minced garlic
1,5 tbsp of olive oil
Step 1: Prepare brown rice according to the packaging.
Step 2: Add lemon juice (according to your taste), olive oil and minced garlic into the steamed rice and mix well.
Add a few slices of lemon on the rice for better visuals on the gram.
Pair the rice with avocado tomato salad for a complete meal. I believe it’ll taste pretty great with grilled chicken or prawns, or basically anything else.
The garlic and lemon proportions can be adjusted to taste.
